Dueling Pianos Kentucky

In the late 80s, an organization of about a 12 talented piano players, along with a some very innovative business owners, opened the doors to what would soon be the most sought after entertainment idea of the new millennium: KENTUCKY DUELING PIANOS. Little more than 25 years later, Dueling Piano venues are seen in just about every corner of the United States. How was this accomplished? How has this concept thrived for such a long time? This creative concept known as Dueling Pianos Kentucky has been passed down from Veterans of the Dueling Pianos concept to a younger generation of Kentucky dueling piano players through rigorous training, both on-the job as well as one-on-one mentoring. Today, the Dueling Pianos concept is not only popular in Traditional Dueling Pianos venues, it is also a hit at Wedding Receptions, Corporate Functions, Colleges and Universities, and Fundraisers.

While traditional Dueling Pianos performances such as Howl at the Moon, Rumrunners, Ernie Biggs, and Crocodile Rocks differ only slightly from performances for privately held events in Kentucky, the general format of “Sing-Along” (also synonymous with the term “Dueling Pianos”), request-driven song selections, great piano playing and comedy are prevalent in both Kentucky dueling pianos private settings and traditional Kentucky dueling pianos nightclub shows. However, not all dueling piano entertainers who perform regularly in nightclub settings are acquainted with the skills necessary for executing the Dueling Pianos concept at a private function.
